Crack addiction kills. There is, of course, no such thing as a safe drug…but crack is especially dangerous. It is, for starters, extraordinarily addictive, which means that crack abusers are more likely to use in a compulsive or habitual nature than individuals addicted to other types of drugs. No less importantly, chronic crack abuse is associated with a steeply diminishing highs, meaning that crack addicts are inclined to use larger and larger dosages of the drug and thus are more inclined to overdose.

The good news is that crack addiction treatment works. If you or someone you care about has succumbed to crack addiction, you can’t afford not to act: You’ve got to get help today, because tomorrow won’t be around forever. For your own sake and the sake of the people who care about you, don’t wait to start getting healed.
